The new way of donation in the UK

According to the British newspaper guardian’s internet version, it reported that, sincenbsp;on May of this year, the mobile operator Vodafone and fundraising network service provider Just Giving offers the free mobile phone short message donation service, there are 9200 British charities to join this project.
Vodafone and JustGiving launch this mobile donation service purpose is encourage British 50 million cell phone users to use a convenient way to donate. Users can easily use the mobile phone short message donation process, mobile operators will not charge any short message service fee of donors. After donors selected target charity, donation will be automatically into a corresponding charity of the account, the money can only be debited to mobile phone users monthly fee of the bill, the money also can be paid by the donors credit card bill.

Because of the donation process is through mobile phone short message, the charity does not need to pay any cost, and mobile operators do not charge anything to mobile phone users, it means that all the donations will give the charity. British charity hopes to use the new fundraising way to attract more young people to join the British public activities, especially of charitable activities.

In April of this year, British telecom (BT) announced that they launch the name of quot;My Donatequot; charity program. The project can through the network to donate online, but it does not supporting SMS donations at the moment. ldquo;My Donaterdquo; announced that there are more than 500 home charities join the project last week, and it is expected to rise further hundreds of charities at the next few weeks. UK ldquo;ResPublicardquo; has published a report recently, in the 2014, British mobile phone short message donations annual will scale up to 96 million pounds.
