A trip to the table mountain in Cape Town
2 Dec
I had been to the table mountain for three times. So this time I liked to climb up via the skeleton gorge again but I was alone that day so I booked great equipments for my Mountain adventures. So I was starting with a mental exhaustion because I had five nervous and nonstop weeks at work before I came here. I was also scared of heights, so although I had some knee problems. My guide was delightful, he always knew when he should be a quiet presence, and when he should be informative and most of the time he could read the mood perfectly. He was such a natural instructor making me understand where will be our next break and keep giving me tips during the trip.
As we got to the summit we saw the clouds bursting away and we could clearly see a blue sky like the view of the Garden of Eden. It was really a nice trip of feeding and refreshing my nervous soul. It was a worthwhile and meaningful day with an excellent guide.
If you are also a solo like me, I really suggest you to come here, the Table Mountain Walks had really provided me with a brilliant way to enjoy the wonderful scenes of the Table Mountain. We formed a small group of five and we didnrsquo;t know each other, and we were heading to Camps Bay and continued to go to the western route which was not very difficult and we saw great views. The guide set a brilliant pace with regular breaks to point out the unique plants, rock structures and geological features along the trip. It was wonderful to hike with him who was so knowledgeable, and I really felt like I got experience and learnt more about the Table Mountain than if I had hiked all on my own, we just did a fast trip up and down on the chairlift. I really recommend Table Mountain to you if you come here – this trip was doubtlessly one of the highlights of my trip in Cape Town.
